Welcome Baby Marcus
Sunday September 30th, 2007 we welcomed our first baby boy to this world. He was born at 6:20 am, Weighed 8.0 lbs and was 20 in. His name is Marcus Lloyd McAllister. I was very happy when I only pushed for 10minutes compared to the hour and 45 min. that I pushed with Emma. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone in our home is adjusting to the changing family. Eric has been wonderful in taking on more duties. Today he took Marcus to the doctor by himself to make sure he was still gaining weight (we had an issue with his eating during the frist couple of days). Emma is trying to figure out why Marcus is here and moms tummy still looks like it has a baby in it. Yesterday she had a stomach ache and held her stomach and said, "Owe daddy, my baby Marcus hurts my tummy". It was really cute. She also calls him Mickey Marcus sometimes. Mom is trying to get use to Disciplining one child while breatfeeding the other and not making either overly upset.
I included some pictures from the hospital. Hopefully sometime tonight or tomorrow I am going to try and take some more pictures of him at home with Emma and his dad.
All is well in our growing McAllister Home. (Thank You to all of you for your help this week)

Update on Baby
I just thought that I would let you all know that the end is coming soon. I cant believe how long the last couple weeks of pregnancy take. I have been so miserable that I guess each day seems like a week. I did go to the doctor today and got some very good news. Last week I was dialated to a 1 and 60% effaced. This week I am dialated to a 3 and 80 % effaced. That is very good news. Eric asked the doctor "what are her chances of having the baby this week", after he said that his crystal ball was broken, he said it was 60% likely that I would have the baby this week. I am not going to plan on it, but it would be nice if I had the baby in the next 2 weeks. My actual due date is Oct. 11th, and any day before that would be wonderful. Stay Tuned!
Emma Cooking
Emma and I had a cooking day this week. I was feeling a little adventurous and thought that I would help Eric by preparing 6 meals that could be frozen and just popped into the oven when I have the baby. That way Eric can help me out with out having to go buy dinner every night. Emma was very anxious to help. She did make a HUGE mess though. My batteries on my camera died, otherwise I would have a picture of her covered in flour. We did have fun though.

Marcus
Marcus is starting to make his prescense know in our home. Even though he has not arrived yet Mom seems to complain of him kicking basically all of the time, Emma likes to talk about how she is going to help and Eric likes to think about finally having a boy and being able to teach him boy things (without trying to convert his little girl). The baby room is slowly coming together, but the biggest piece of the bed was put up last night after Grandma and Grandpa McAllister gave Marcus a Reds baseball Mobile. Eric set it up and put it on the bed as soon as he got home from his dad's house. Needless to say, we are all counting down the days till our little boy arrives. 5 weeks and counting!
Posing
Emma would kill me if I didnt share these pictures with you. She decided that she loves the camera now. I have to hide it when I am not using it or I will find her in her room trying to take pictures of everything. When you tell her to say cheese she will lean to one side or put her hands on her hips, or put her hands up around her face. I thought that everyone would appreciate these pictures. Please enjoy.
BYU Football vs. Arizona
We went to the season opener for BYU Football on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. It is Emma's first year where she really knows what is going on. She is mostly interested in Cosmo (the mascot). She was sitting at the top of the stadium yelling "Cosmo, where are you?". We also went to a tailgate party where Emma got her face painted with a BYU Cougar Paw. It was really cute. She also enjoyed her grandpa spoiling her by buying her popcorn and drinks. She loves her grandpa and he loves her. He would do anything if she asked him.
We really enjoyed the game and really look forward to BYU having a great season. GO COUGARS!

Emma, growing up
It seems like Emma is growing up so fast. She is mostly potty trained (during the day), she still does wear a pull up at night. It is nice to have about a 2 month break of changing diapers. I am sad to say though that her naps are basically over. She was staying up until like 10 or 11 at night, and so I tried keeping her up during the day and she went to bed at 8pm and slept until like 8 am. So I have been keeping her up during the day so that I can have my nights back.
Whenever you walk out of the room Emma will say "Mama, Watcha doin'?, it is hilarious, and if you ask her what she is going, she will usually say "hanging out with Mama". The other day she wanted to pose for some pictures, so I posted them on here.
Emma and the rest of the family is getting ready for "baby Marcus" to come. 6 weeks and counting.

Dad in Town
My dad and Misty came into town this 2 weeks ago to help us with our wood floors. He did an amazing job. We are so excited for our new floors. They look amazing. While they were in town we went and hung out with my dads family. My uncles girlfriend, BJ took some pictures of Emma which I have posted with this Post. Hope you enjoy.
