Well, I am here to tell the story, so you probably know by now that I survived my first triathlon. I was quit bummed when they closed the Lake 2 days before the race because they found round worm. Instead of an 800 meter swim they changed the race to a 75 yard swim (1/9th of the original) plus an additional 1 mile run back to the transition area. I think every swimmer there was bummed, but what can you do. The race was tough (especially the hills on the bike portion), but my real goal was to train for it so that I could loose weight, and I did...20 lbs of it. I am excited to do my next one so that I can start training soon. Here are some pics from the day.
