I am so grateful this Easter Morning for my Savior Jesus Christ. He is the author of my salvation and because of that knowledge he can bring us hope and perspective as we face challenges in this life. We can find comfort in the assurance that the Savior lives and that through His Atonement, "he breaketh the bands of death, that the grave shall have no victory, and that the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory" (
Alma 22:14) What a better way to spend Easter than hearing modern day Apostles Testify of him just like the Apostles of Old did after seeing his flesh and bones after the resurrection.
We have a tradition in our family on Easter. Easter is about spending time with our family. Eric and Emma build a fort every year in the living room and sleep in it together. We intended for Marcus to join this year, but he fell asleep too early. He must still be recovering. Here are some pictures from the fun...
Here are the kids this morning having fun together....
And now for the superficial part of Easter. The remains of Easter Baskets...
Marcus' new outfit, candy, chalk and puzzle. We woke up this morning to Marcus knocking on our door. He walked in and said look and held up some peeps. He had already started exploring his Easter Basket on his own...he is such a funny kid.
Here is Emma showing off her bubbles and new dress in front of the snowing background....yeah, we got like 2 inches last night. Nothing like snow to say 'Happy Easter' (can you hear the sarcasm?!)
And the thing the kids were most excited about, new piggy banks...
It has been a good start to the day, but we can only wait for it to continue that way...
Happy Easter Everyone!
Love, Tamber
