I am Thankful for ALL of my parents

I am sitting here on Thanksgiving at my Father-in-law's house, and I was just thinking how grateful I am for them. Every Holiday that we spend with them has been wonderful. They make is so easy to enjoy and so much fun to spend time with them. I am grateful everyday for their positive influence in my life. They do so much for me and my family.
I am so so Thankful for my parents. They did so much right in raising me. They helped me becocme the person that I am today through good example and continuing encouragement.
Every one of my now parents has been a great influence in my families positive direction. Thanks You Lynn, Jodie, Sue, Tim, Misty, and Terre. Thank you for all that you have done for Eric and I and both of our beautiful children. You have contributed to our happy family in so many ways it is hard to explain.

Baby Blessing

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that we are having Marcus' baby blessing this sunday at our ward building. It will be held at 4:30 pm in the Relief Society Room. I am not sure of the exact address of the church, but here are some directions coming from the freeway...
Exit University Pkwy. Cross over the freeway and head toward Provo. Turn right on Main street in Orem (near RC Willey). Turn Left on 1600 South (at the stop sign). Turn Right onto 200 East. The church is on the Right hand side. If you park in the back of the parking lot and enter the building on the west side the Relief Society building is near that entrance. We would like all of you to come if you can. Afterward we will have a little snack at our house for those that want to come over.

I am Thankful for my Children

This is for Emma and Marcus:
I know that being a mother is not the easiest thing, but there is not a replacement for children. I had to remind myself of that today. I am thankful for how cute they are, becasue if I didnt think they were very cute I might have a harder time forgiving them for stressing me out. I am thankful for their health (one of my friends found out that her baby might have Lukemia today). I am thankful for their happyiness. Emma always makes me smile, and now that Marcus is starting to smile it makes my day. I am thankful for the unconditional love that they give Eric and I. There is nothing that I can do wrong to make them not love me ("Although Emma has started saying "GO AWAY", in a very demanding voice). I am thankful for their continuous example and special spirit. It is such a hard thing to explain to those who are not parents yet, but there is something about both of my children that is so special. It is like they are angels sent to me at the time that I needed them. I know that I still have a lot to learn about being a mother, but I think I can learn a lot from the scripture in Moroni 8:17 where it says "I am filled with charity, which is everlasting love;wherefore, all children are alike unto me; wherefore, I love little children with a perfect love; and they are all alike and partakers of salvation." If Chrsit can have a perfect love for his children, then they must be special. I love both of my children so much and I am excited to have more (not for a while) and see them grow up.

I am Thankful for Eric

I thought that in the spirit of Thanksgiving I would make a list of thing each day this week that I am thankful for. Today’s list is going to by things that I am thankful that involve my husband:

I am thankful for my husband when:

When he works so hard to finish school while working full-time.

When he makes me laugh.

When he lets me sleep in (while watching the children) so that I can have a break.

When he plays hide and seek or any game with Emma

When he calls me 3-4 times a day from work just to make sure I am having a good day.

When he shares his testimony at church

When he teaches me so much about the gospel.

When he deals with my grumpiness when I am tired

When he deals with my bad moods.

When he realizes that I am having a rough day and gives me a long hug

When he gives Emma, Marcus and I a kiss every morning before he leaves for work.

When he fixes things that are broken around the house.

When he tells me that he loves me

When he does everything he can to make me happy!!!!

Scary Buttons

I was talking to Emma last night and she reminded me of something funny, so I thought that I would share it with you. About 1 year ago Emma started being afraid of the buttons on her clothes...I have no idea why, she just started say "Button Scary" one day. When I was getting Marcus dressed last night, she acted like she was afraid for his life becasue he had so many buttons on his outfit. She kept saying "button scary, button scary". I can see it now....Emma is going to brainwash Marcus and he is going to think buttons are scary as well. My children are going to have a wierd button fear the rest of their lives. When people ask what phobia they have, they are going to say Buttonphobia. Wierd.

BYU basketball Game

Emma is thinking really hard.

Emma wanted to take a picture of me. So I let her...here it is.

We went to a BYU basket ball game last night beacuse the tickets were only $1 and the first 15,000 people got free T-shirts. The pictures above are from the game. We had a lot of fun. Emma is catching on to more and more words from the cougar fight song every game we go to. And she definantly has the Rah, Rah, Rah part down at the end.

More Pictures

Okay, here is the picture that didnt work below....

Marcus' Professional Pics

We went to get Marcus' pictures taken today. They turned out extra cute, although it was a pain. I purposefully made an appointment so that we could take the pics when he is usually awake. We got there 20 min. early and they didnt start taking his pics until 20 min after the time the appt. was made. He seemed to want to sleep when we needed him awake and was awake when we wanted him asleep. Anyways, they turned out good, just not as good as Emma's. Let me know what you think.

Ive been tagged

I've been tagged by my cousin in law, Amy McAllister (the original). Apparently what this means is now I have to post 6 facts/habits about myself and then tag others to do the same.

1. I have been bungy jumping 8 times. At one point in my life I was a dare devil. I use to beg my dad if he would take me skydiving, but I was too young. He thought that bungy jumping would be a fair compromise. When we were on vacation in Salt Lake one year there was this place called the Gallaria. You could pay for the hour of bungy jumping. My sister Tawni and I were the only ones there. I went about two times for every time that she went. It was a blast. Needless to say I wouldnt do it again, especially now that I have kids.

2. I HATE the word Moist. That is all that needs to be said about that.

3. I'm not really into music. I will listen to music, but I dont know it very well. Dont ever ask me who sings a song, cause I probably wont know. I have only been to one concert in my life, and it was 311 and I left within 30 min. of it starting.

4.I once ate an entire box of brownies by myself....opps.

5.When I was little I had a lot of seizures. They never found out why I was having them, but the last one that I had was when I was in 7th grade.

6. I use to play the flute...I thought it would be the COOL thing to do...needless to say it didnt help my nerdy reputation in Junior High.

Becky, Nicole and Nikki B... Tag your it.

Bathtime

Emma and Marcus took their frist bath together last night. It was kind of funny. Emma now knows what teasing means and she kept trying to splash him in the face. When I would tell her not to do that, she would say "Mom, Im just teasing". Marcus took it like a trooper and didnt cry one bit. Here are some pictures of the two together.

Signs of Winter

I love this time of year. Dont get me wrong, I dont love the snow or cold weather so much, but I do love basketball. Sometimes I forget how great basketball is...two hours, not four...intense fans (not as intense as Amy talked about at Ohio State)...the smell of popcorn and hot dogs...but yet you dont have to deal with the sunscreen one week and the winter coats the next or the cranky kids who have been away from home too long. BYU basketball games just seem so much more doable to me than football games, not that I dont love the football games, I just love the convinience of basketball. We enjoyed our first basketball games in the past couple of weeks. Here are some pictures of Emma enjoying the fun.

During the last basketball game that we were at Emma went down to give the players fives when they were going off of the court and Lee Cummard gave Emma his sweat(wrist) band. She was pretty excited.

Emmas Pictures

We got Emmas Pictures taken yesterday. I thought that she did a great job. It turende out really well. Take a look and let me know what you think. I cannot believe how big she is getting. The other day she was talking to Eric and he was telling her where something was. She replied by saying "I think it is on the table, actually." I dont know where she discovered the word Actually, but it is really funny when she says it.
