Emma in the Turkey trot (see post below for info)
This is video of Emma running (after the turkey trot was over and we were headed home). She is so funny when she runs. I need to teach her some form. Anyways, she loved getting out since we haven't been on very many walks since it got cold.
Turkey Trot
Yesterday morning our ward held a turkey trot. It was just a mile run, but family friendly. Eric and I started running together while pushing the kids. Soon into the race, Eric stopped (he had just played football for an hour and was exhausted), then about half way in, Emma really wanted to run like some of the other kids, so I stopped and got her out to run. She did really well. Emma and I were the last ones to finish the race and when we were coming close to the finish line and Emma heard everyone cheering for her, she started running really fast. It was so cute. She also got a really big smile on her face.

Our Thanksgiving Tree
This year, to help Emma remember what Thanksgiving was all about, we did a Thanksgiving Tree. On the first of November, we had a family home evening on being grateful. Then we cut this tree out and put it on our wall in our hall. Evey time we walked by, it would remind us of what we are thankful for, then if we had something at the moment, we could write another thing up there. Emma loved the idea and I think that it really got her thinking. Here is a picture of Emma holding our tree.

Happy Thanksgiving
Things that I am most thankful for Today (in no particular order, because I couldn't arrange them the right way)...
My extended family, friends, and ancestors for being great examples to me. This is a picture of my Grandma (very right) my mom (very left) and her siblings. I am grateful that I have all the wonderful extended family that I have and all of the friends that I have. I dont know where I would be without them.
I am so thankful for our Temples and the knowledge that I have that since I was married in the temple that I have the opportunity to, if I live worthy, live with my family for eternity.
I am thankful for the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that they are inspired by God and that the Church continues on this earth today because of their great leadership.
My children. I love them so much. They are the purest form of what Love means. They continually love you no matter what happens. They inspire me to be better.
And most importantly, my family. My husband is a great man and treats me amazingly. I love the time that we spend together and the things that we do for fun. I dont know now what I would do without my family. Thank you Eric for making such a wonderful life for us. I love you guys.

Flashback Friday....High School Graduation
Here are a couple of High School graduation pictures. I remember that being such a fun time in my life.
I laugh at this picture when I see it now. I remember having a crush on all of these guys at least once in high school. If any of you are BYU fans, the 4th one from the left (with sunglasses) is Zac Collie, and the one on the very left is Tyler Ecker who was drafted into the NFL after playing at Michigan.
This picture was taken at my high school graduation with my best friend Becky. Look at the blond hair. That was even natural at the time. I think from all the swimming and chlorine that it was naturally so light.

Do you ever have those nights, where you just cannot think of what you are going to have for dinner? I think we all do! I am a huge advocate of planning dinners ahead of time and I still have nights like that. I was just introduced to an amazing website. It is called Simplify Supper. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to write up a grocery list for my meal plan and then forgetting something. That is where this website come in handy. They have a month of preplanned meals that you can use, but you can also sign up (it is FREE) and customize your menu plan with the hundreds of recipes. One you create your month of meals, it will give you a shopping list with EVERYTHING that you need. How awesome is that. And it gets even better. You dont even have to print that list out if you want, you can send it to your cell phone. I think the two Utah Women who designed this website are genius'. Martha Stewart even gave the website props. Check it out and let me know what you think.

A much needed break
I am getting a much needed break this weekend. I leave on Wednesday morning to go to Long Beach with the swim team, and even though I will be working from 6 am to 10 pm, it will be the much needed and anticipated break. I am grateful for a wonderful and loving husband who is willing to go out of his way to work around his schedule so that I can go. I am also grateful for a job that is so flexible. Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Life has been crazy busy. Hopefully in the next little while life will settle down.
*** The picture at the top is the pool that we are swimming at. You litterally walk out the back doors onto the beach.

Halloween Costumes
Here are some pictures of the kids on Halloween. They had a blast going to the trunk or treat at the church (perfect for the younger kids that cannot walk very far). If you cannot tell, Emma was Hannah Montana (she says Miley Cyrus) and Marcus was a frog. The last picture is Emma and her friend Alice at our annual friends a Halloween Party.
